KarateSpeak collects and uses only the information needed to provide English learning features, manage subscriptions, respond to support requests, maintain reliability, and improve the service.
Information we collect
- Account identifiers, such as Firebase user ID and sign-in provider.
- Email address and name when provided through Apple or Google sign-in.
- Learning data, including progress, review list items, notification read state, and playback speed preference.
- Subscription status, active plan, billing store, expiration date, purchase or restore events, and related entitlement information.
- Support request content and support metadata, such as app language, device locale, platform, OS version, app version, build number, device model, current screen, authentication state, subscription state, and billing store.
- Usage data, such as viewed patterns, learning starts and completions, review additions, notification opens, subscription screen views, subscription actions, support submissions, trial starts, and account deletion events.
- Crash reports and diagnostic information used to investigate failures and improve app reliability.
How we use information
- Provide learning, review, offline download, notification, and account features.
- Save progress and preferences across sessions and supported devices.
- Confirm subscription access and restore purchases.
- Respond to support requests and account deletion requests.
- Measure feature usage, diagnose issues, prevent abuse, and improve app quality.
Third-party services
KarateSpeak uses service providers including Firebase, Google Cloud, Google Sign-In, Sign in with Apple, and RevenueCat. These providers may process information on our behalf to support authentication, analytics, crash reporting, cloud storage, app hosting, backend operations, and subscription management.
Data sharing
We do not sell personal information. We do not use collected data for third-party advertising or tracking. Information may be processed by service providers only as needed to operate and support the app, or when required by law.
Data retention and deletion
Learning data and account-related app data are kept while needed to provide the service. You can request account deletion from the app or from the account deletion page. Account deletion removes learning data and account-linked app records, except limited audit records retained for security, legal, billing, and operational purposes.
